Season both sides of the chicken breasts with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Cook the chicken breasts for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside. Slice the chicken into strips once it has rested for a few minutes.
Step 2: Cook the Pasta
While the chicken is cooking, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
Cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain the pasta and set aside.
Step 3: Prepare the Sauce
In the same skillet used to cook the chicken, add the butter and minced garlic. Cook for about 1 minute, until the garlic becomes fragrant.
Add the white wine to the skillet, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes to reduce slightly.
Stir in the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese, and let the sauce simmer for 3-4 minutes until it thickens. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Step 4: Combine and Serve
Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet with the sauce, tossing to coat the pasta evenly.
Top the pasta with the sliced chicken breasts.
Garnish with fresh parsley and additional Parmesan cheese if desired.
