Rover came to us just days ago—lost, heartbroken, and deeply missing the person who loved him most. Following the passing of his owner, his world fell apart. Left outside by the family, he waited in silence, hoping against hope that someone would come back for him. 🥀

A New Beginning
At Border Tails Rescue, Rover found warmth and compassion once again. He curled up beside us, soaking in every cuddle and every gentle word. We were just about to find him a foster home—a new chance at life, a glimmer of hope for a brighter future. But life had other plans for our sweet boy.
A Heartbreaking Farewell

This morning, Rover seemed tired and in pain. When we ran bloodwork, it revealed advanced kidney failure. Before we could get him to the emergency vet, Rover slipped away—peacefully, quietly, as if he knew he was finally safe. 🕊️
Though our hearts ache with sorrow, we take solace in knowing that he is home again, running free beside his beloved owner in heaven. 🌈
